Status: offline 		I upgarde the i-mate Jama to WM6.
I want to downgarde it to WM5 but I can't find the WM5 english rom file.
Is anyone known the download link????

Status: offline 		I have WM5 for JAMA ("Magneto"). Thus is a RUS variant, but they have a selection to RUS<->ENG in progress of installation. Can you recieve 36 564 699 bytes in e-mail messages? I`ll be send to you in Outlook Express and you MUST recieve in that program - I have a limit for message size and there need split message into several (MANY) little :(

I can't find the selection to change ENG<->RUS in installation. Pls. help

Status: offline 		Very strange :( In all (three! - I make the programs under Windows Mobile and I need test in WM5 AND WM6) cases when I install Magneto here is choice in the end of install (English/Russian), like WM6 .

Status: offline 		I use a program "dnw.exe" software on PC to flash the Rom.
remove Sim card / SD card & Battery
plug the USB, hold the key "vol. -", install the battery
windows find a device & install the driver.
the software "dnw" will shown the USB status is OK(ready).

- use WM6 rom file (JAMA_8050_WWE_RUS_WM6)
use USB port-->transmit-->select file "bootload.nb0".
(It will send to the phone & shown the bootload no. is change)
take off the battery & hold the key "vol. -", install the battery.
use USB port-->transmit-->select file "FLASH.bin".
(it will a pop up windows to shown the status of the file transfer to phone)
"update  OS...." shown in the phone, insert the SD card w/ WM6 rom file
"Check version...." & "update OS...." shown in the phone.
A windows shown the option to change RUS / English.
comfirm & flash the phone again.
after complete. WM6 English ver is upgrade complete. Great!!!

- use WM5 rom file (WM5_JAMA_P30_V7165_RUS_Magneto)
use USB port-->transmit-->select file "bootload.nb0".
(It will send to the phone & shown the bootload no. is change)
take off the battery & hold the key "vol. -", install the battery.
use USB port-->transmit-->select file "FLASH.bin".

about 5 min it will shown a diskplay of Windows mobile
It is a "RUS" ver. no option to change to english.

I think the main different is no need to insert the SD card w/ WM5 rom in flash WM5.
Is it something wrong?

Status: offline 		Please, do NOT use external program for "flash" ROM! Flashing the ROM is DEVICE SPECIFIC procedure!!!
"Flashing" the ROM (aka "Download FLASH ROM") in JAMA is BIOS (like PC`s) procedure. In the NON VOLATILE memory (pure ROM) here is a special program (in another boards is known as "Technologic Monitor" etc.). This program (like PC`s) try load program: 1. from special preparing flash card; and 2. from boot-record of FLASH-memory.
All procedures in JAMA is based on #1. You need only COPY directory structure from archive to the flash-card (FAT16, NOT(!) FAT32 (very simple way use any PhotoDevice:), AND with capacity NOT great 512MB!). Then: turn OFF JAMA, remove SIM, insert the battery. That's all.
I try this steps (WM6<->WM5) in 7 times! All work OK!

I can use the SD card for flash Rom now.
But the WM5 rom still a RUS ver. not english. Is the WM5 rom is only RUS?

Status: offline 		In my JAMA within process of installation of WM5 here is a choice to select English/Russian, but I do not try to install English version :( My english is too bad (only Linux-english I can understand;))

Status: offline 		Now I got a 64m sd card, I still can't flash wm5, is there any problem with the WM5 rom file (WM5_JAMA_P30_V7165_RUS_Magneto)
By the way, I can flash wm6 by the same sd card
