Status: offline 		Forget the question, I found the unlock code on the box :)

Apparently this update fixes some bugs, I got this (Google translated off an arabic site):
  • Improve the battery life of up to 6.5 hours continuous occur and 4.5 hours for video calls.
  • Reduce the duration of a wake after pressing the button of energy. 
  • Reduce Thnic organ is Arabization ROM. 
  • Stopped work advantage xt9 default with the existence of programs within the body.  
  • Improve the functioning of the whole. 
  • Improving the performance of the Wireless Manager 
  • Improve long-distance video 
  • Improving the performance of WiFi, Bluetooth 
  • Improving the performance of a button to respond to calls when receiving calls. 
  • More than other minor improvements ....

Status: offline 		i updated my 8150, after many failed trials it finally worked. but its not worth it. i had to re-install all my software but the effort was useless. the arabic build that i installed had this readme file with it that says: 
Improvements
We advise existing customers to upgrade to this new ROM, to benefit from the below improvements that include:
- Improved power management now yielding up to 4hours 3G and 6hours 2G talk time (previous 4hours)
- Extended standby time of 8 days
- Improved stability of Arabic software
- 8150-only: xt9 settings are now persistent between applications. Enable xt9 by holding the * button
- A number of responsiveness improvements including the Wireless Manager application and power button wake-up time
- Improvements to video calling quality
- Improved Bluetooth connection reliability
- New Menu options for WiFi settings

unfortunetly most of the assumed benifits are not true and i didnt find any important differences compared to the version that came with the device. the xt9 works between applications only if you disable the multilingual support!! i hope someone from i-mate is reading this.

If you do not have the ROM Lock code available, please send us an email to support@imate.com, with your 15-digit IMEI number and i-mate login name.

I tried that last week, after the people in "livesupport" suggested it. I never got a reply.

Status: offline 		The ROM upgrade was useless. The only reason I waited patiently for this was because support told me that it would fix my Bluetooth issues...it doesn't.

The bluetooth with handsfree is so quiet it is unusable and forget about trying to use voice dialling!! The same bluetooth headsets work perfectly on other phones, so it can only be related to the 8150!

C'mon I-mate give us the fixes to match what appears to be a great phone!!

i perfectly agree with every word. i wis somebody from imate is reading our suffering and trying to really help.

cant even download the ****ing rom for my ultimate 8150 each time i try to register, it says invalid username or password, i have created 3 usernames by different countries
