8502 ROM is as stable as the original 6.0 ROM for me.

As for GPS, it is removed from the wireless manager since it's no longer needed. It turns on and off automatically as an application opens the port. Works great on 8502.

For those where the hard reset option doesn't work.
I was in the same position and could not get past the "reconnect etc" screen. In desperation (I'm no expert) I tried removing the battery, plugging into usb and then reconnecting the battery. Ran update installer and it restarted the installation. Worth a try.

Help!!!! After update rom, my MIO MAP 3.3, Imap8 doesn start any more. What is problem????

GPS is automatic now, your program will start it. It has been working a charm for me. Tomtom and Oziexplorer both start the gps.

I brought a 4gb SDHC (largest the store had) and the 9502 is using it.

I haven't had any problems with this beta rom, my 9502 is working much better than it was before.

Are you supposed to get a progress bar on the screen while updating? I have the "Please reconnect" screen on the phone and the software claims to be transferring, but it's been going for a while. How long did it take to transfer for those who have completed it?

I don't remember seeing a reconnect screen... but the update took a good 15 mins I guess...

It's the screen that a couple of others have gotten from an upgrade error. Mine's apparently stuck in this mode and refuses to update now. Hard resets and battery trickery doesn't seem to help either. I waited on the last upgrade attempt for an hour with no results. Hopefully I can save this thing, but I'm really regretting not sticking with HTC at this point, so I may just use an old phone until the Touch Pro hits the US.

I applied this rom earlier today. NO issues at all YET... I have found that it's much faster and on average I have around 38-41Mb of free memory. Camera is much faster and doesnt seem to have the memory leaks the last version had. Have tried the 4GB sdhc card without any issues.
One Q. what does domain enrol do under connections.??

Somebody know how to run iGO8 or MIOmap on device, before ROM update it was work, after flash programm simple doesnt start, no errors showing.

Hi pull out the battery and let the phone go off mode and connect the cable again.

try it afew more time . what happen to u happen to me too but lastly i get it install

The reason u get the error of reconnect eic is because the connect of the usb cable . i try i do restart my com so u might try it too and the most important part is when u took out the battery dont try to on the phone it will auto on it back when u put the cable back in . and must not cable on phone when u took out the batt.

8GB has been reported to work and that's the largest you can get right now.

What I have found if the device gets stuck on reconnect is
1) close the upgrade app
2) disconnect USB
3) remove battery
4) insert battery
5) connect device to PC via USB - Should here the ding and detected device message
6) start upgrade again.

Most i have seen a user have to do this process is 3 times before it went through

Otherwise has anyone noticed how fast the sync is with this rom. My device doesnt freeze anymore during a synch

Yes ActiveSync is heaps better. Before it slowed the phone down essentially to a complete halt. That then made the ActiveSync take quite a while. So they fixed two issues with one bug it seems. Quite happy with that.

Thanks grege, but that's pretty much what I've done on every attempt. The upgrade says it's transferring to the phone, but the "Please reconnect message" never goes away and I've let it go for an hour with no luck on my last attempts.
