I have downloaded from the web, this file: Ultimate_9502_V.01.73_NO_CP
Is this the right rom?
I yes, I do not have the "read me" files... please can someone publish it?
The installation of this rom, can compromise the installation of the official rom (eg: unlock rom code, other) when will be released?

When the hell will it be released? I'm waiting 4 months to have functional phone! No more patience

Anyone tried to return the phone back - claim sales return? Did it help?

Hi, I was ready to toss the phone..very poor phone, media, bluetooth, camera, everything.. really.
I upgraded to the new beta ROM as a last resort before I sent it BACK.
ITS LIKE A NEW PHONE. you have to do it.
I cant believe the difference.
Its what it was meant to be. PDA with the works, and it works. GET MS Voice Command & its great.
Google can help find the upgrade, just use an Xp pc & be sure the battery is full.
READ THE READ ME FIRST.

Hi, I just installed Microsoft Voice Command on the new ROM & its great.
9502 is new very close to what I thought I was buying in the first place.

You can download a new D3D driver from xda-devs that was pulled from the Omnia...hopefully someone will see this before my post is deleted like the last one.

I spent most of saturday trying to install the 9502 ROM (Ultimate_9502_V.01.73_NO_CP.exe) and with no luck. Each time it came back with a white screen with "EUM update fail: Please reconnect to PC and run the upgrade again", tried a few more times and removed the battery and usb cable. Eventually it showed a connection error (402) on the i-mate SFX setup program and my phone showed a status bar at 100% so I did a hard reset and (thank god) it loaded back into WM 6 pro with all my original settings still there. Had a go at running it using a Vista machine but the SFX program said it wouldn't run in Vista. Think I'll wait for the official ROM.

Better for u to try again as original ROM is full of bugs and also you will not be able to set up the official ROM as the loader Programn is the same as this one but changes are made in ROM file not loader program .

OMG I got it! After I put in my ROM unlock code in the "select update type" dropdown box I chose "Operation system only" and FINALLY it worked. I was originally going with the default "Whole system (Recommend)" Took about 10 to 15 minutes. Phew!

Which it is the difference between "whole system" and" operation system only"? Which is the better choice?
Before to update i would ask some things..
1) Is it opportune to remove the sim card and the microsd card?
2) May I select in active sync "allow usb connection", or is better uncheck this item?

Hello everyone... my 9502's USB port work just for power. I syncronize through Bluetooth. Is there a way to put an upgrade into memory and then install it as I did in 6150?

Hi Nico, I couldn't get the "whole system" option to work because it failed to install and had to use the "operation system only" option. When I installed it I hadn't removed my Sim card or my 2Gb SD card, and after it had finished all of my files were still on my cards. Although I forgot to backup my photos which were on the device (doh). Activesync backed up all of my contacts, emails and appointments.

I have updated using windows XP sp 2 and my macbook pro with bootcamp. No problem during the upgrade process.
With the installer, I have only had one chosen and that is "operation system only".
Now my 9502 works fine...I think this rom is great. No radio problems, great wifi and BT, BT voice dialing is ok. At the moment, I am Happy of my device.

Ok,

I did not want to place my phone at risk with the unofficial rom. So can anyone (Kain?) answer, when will the Official update be released?

The phone has massive potential but is held back by only a few detractions. In the short term I have installed SPB Mobile Shell to improve the interface, but the underlying problems remain the same. I have to reboot it almost daily, the GPS functionality is random, the camera never works before a reboot, and the responsiveness of the UI and it's multimedia performance is woeful.

Please! Please! I don't want to pitch this thing on eBay and get an iPhone. I'm a shameless MS Fanboi and i want my device to work to it's full potential!
