As an early adopter and customer who propped up their failing company by buying 4, and returning 3, of their products [1], I'm heartened to see all is not well at Morrison Towers: Alarm bells ring but i-mate insists $60m loss is sustainable http://business.scotsman.com/business/Alarm-bells-ring-but-imate.4539783.jp I note that typically, the men at the top are still blaming everyone else but themselves for their rock-bottom reputation. Stop trading on your past glories at BT/O2 Jim, before your windfall from the XDA design is spent. Open your eyes, read these forums, and listen to your customer feedback. Recognise that the same real user opinions are repeated on all other internet forums where people have been unfortunate to have the i-Mate support "experience" - and that bad news travels far and wide. Then it will be plain to see the real cause of your haemorrhaging cash flow. Then take a moment to reflect how different that story could have been, if I-Mate had actively supported their few loyal customers by communicating with them rather than deleting posts to stifle dissent, and by providing firmware upgrades as promised instead of hounding down those who provide interim solutions (i.e. the beta ROM). Is it too late for i-Mate to turn round this attitude? The 6.1 ROM would be a start - so where is it? Sadly, having this far down the line, I doubt things will change, especially while the majority shareholder sits in his Ivory Tower refusing to communicate with the very people who could have saved his bacon. If that policy is to prevail, then the sooner this sick animal is put out of its misery the better - as the buying public will be much happier without it. [1] Jam, Jaq3, 8502, 9502. Only the Jam was worth the money and usable. Of course, that was designed and made by HTC, and had nothing to do with i-mate bar the badge.
