ORIGINAL: Mandingo My 8502 with the same ROM connects automatically - I only have one BT device (car hands free) and it connects as soon as I start the engine. Scroll wheel push is the same as joystick press (i.e. "select") but if you move your thumb down to the side OK button (or front OK) it will do the same as the Windows button (i.e. enables the start menu) just as you describe. Thanks for the tip with the OK button. Don't know how I missed it! I might try resetting the bluetooth device and pair from scratch, but it is a cheapy. quote:
ORIGINAL: Shonky Hmmm... How did you manage to lose the Telstra stuff and the Profile Manager? Personally I think the Profile Manager has issues - it didn't play well with SPB Phone Suite for one and kept resetting my ringtone to some stupid Alouette one. Just yesterday I disabled (I think completely) it by renaming its DLLs and EXEs I am on Optus, so I'd be perfectly happy to lose the Telstra rubbish. Does it still have the NextG animation at boot up? Sounds like you got a generic upgrade. Where/how did you upgrade? have to agree with you on the profile manager. It changes ring tones and takes control in ways you don't expect, but I like the ease with which I can change to silent/outdoor and switch the screen to landscape. I do still get the NextG stuff and like you am not bound to the Telstra bits. I just never got to play with them so now I don't know what I'm missing. But I can guess not much. I found the ROM on the xda-developers site - Obviously not this site! But overall I'm happy so no need to change unless an official release comes out with improvements I need.
